Children's Ministry

At Crozet Baptist Church, our goal is to help children understand what it means to be a passionate follower of Jesus Christ. Children’s Ministry workers model Christ-like behavior, and encourage children and their families to follow Jesus with ever increasing passion.

During Life fellowship time on Sunday mornings, teachers for children in preschool through grade 5 use teaching materials from Gospel Light Curriculum. Children’s ministry workers attempt to connect Bible truths with activities and conversations that encourage children to be active participants, not just passive listeners. For example, children may participate in a skit that reenacts the Bible lesson, participate in cooking activities that support Bible Learning, or play games that help them become familiar with the Bible.

Children’s Ministry workers support children as they join in the larger life of our community through worship, service, and personal connections. Examples include joining in Seasonal celebrations such as Advent and Lent, and packing food for our Food and Friendship families.

While we love to have children in worship, we understand the wiggles and giggles sometimes make it difficult. That’s why we have Children’s Church, an opportunity for children to sing, dance, play, and pray together in an environment that encourages and nurtures learning and fellowship with one another.

Every Sunday, except for the 4th Sunday of the month, following the Children’s Message at our 10:30 a.m. worship service, children in K through Grade 5 will transition to Children’s Church in the Children’s Wing of the Church where they can be picked up following worship. Children’s Church will not meet the 4th Sunday of each month as we encourage families to experience “Big Church” together.
