Crozet Baptist Church

Pastor David was born in Albany, Georgia. His father and mother were both working professionals, and his early life on the rural fringes of a small southern town was idyllic. His family attended a small Baptist church, and it was here that he first came to know our loving God.

He attended Albany Junior College, where he met the love of his life, Susan Brooks. He continued his education at the University of Georgia, and then at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He and Susan were married during his last year of seminary, after Susan returned home from a two-year position teaching English at a Chinese middle school in Hong Kong.

David first came to Crozet Baptist Church as a Youth Ministry intern. He was called to a full-time position after two years, and has been here ever since. David has served as Minister to Youth and Senior Adults, Minister of Worship, Associate Pastor, and Co-Pastor. He currently serves as Pastor.

Pastor David’s stated goal as pastor of Crozet Baptist Church is to encourage people to become increasingly passionate followers of Jesus Christ, as we worship together, grow and connect on a personal level, participate in progressive social action, and open doors to a deeper faith experience for others.
